Mrs. Margaret Ruth Ford Blackmon, 88, of Burnettown, SC, wife of the late Rev. James D. "Dave" Blackmon, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

Born in Augusta, GA, she was a daughter of the late Treston Jackson and Ruth Alene Creed Ford. She began her professional career as an Executive Secretary with the former Interstate Life, now American General. Following her retirement from Interstate Life, she became an employee of the Richmond County Board of Education, from which she retired also. She was a dedicated member of the Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene, where played the Piano, was a former Sunday School Teacher, was involved in Missionary Work and held various offices. Miss Margaret enjoyed playing and teaching others to play the piano, reading and she absolutely loved and adored children.

In addition to her husband and parents, family members include an aunt, Evelyn Creed, Belvedere, SC; nieces and nephews, Bonnie Nichols, Langley, SC, Wallace B. Cash, Jr., Langley, SC, Angela Cash Linder, Aiken, SC and the late Carl Floyd Collins, whose wife Diedre, survives him, Evans, GA; siblings, the late June Elizabeth Ford and Peggy Ford Cash, as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, March 31, 2018, beginning at 2 o'clock at the Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3 o'clock. Pastor Kyle Poole will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.

It has been suggested that memorials in her memory be made to the Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene. (www.mvnazarene.org)
