Calvin Broome

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mr. Calvin G. Broome, 84, of Andrews Branch, who entered into rest August 13, 2011, will be conducted this Tuesday evening at 6 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Milton R. Summerall officiating. Private family interment will be held Wednesday in Pineview Memorial Park with Veterans Honors. Mr. Broome was a native of Beech Island, having made North Augusta his home for the past 64 years. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and retired from the Military with 40 years of service. Mr. Broome was a member of the First Christian Church of Belvedere. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Cathryn Bullard Broome; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ray Broome, Seattle, WA, Wayne and Linda Broome, North Augusta, and Cal and Kim Broome, Savannah, GA; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Raiford Rosson, North Augusta; a sister, Betty McDonald, Barnwell, SC; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Tuesday evening from 5 o'clock until the hour of service.
