So sorry to read about Al's death. I hope I can arrange to be there for a memorial service. He was a special colleague at work and friend at church, as were you. Please know that you are all in my thoughts.

I got to know Al covering the Masters many years ago. He was always willing to share his knowledge with those who did not have as much experience as did . Al was just a very nice Man.

To my Ludwick Family,
I truly enjoyed growing up as back yard neighbors to all of you. If the Griesel children were not at your house playing, than the Luckwick children were at our house either swimming or playing. My Dad built steps on both sides of the fence to make it easier for us to go back and forth! I have such great memories of times spent with all of you. Memories of Savannah Beach trips with your Mom and Dad going down to the beach with us and leaving Tim and Ellen for the week and returning the next weekend to help bring us all home. I can still hear Al playing his trombone and his records. He also loved photography. I remember the darkroom at the house and all the neat pictures he took. I thought it was so cool that he could do that. Al had such a witty sense of humor. What a wonderful husband, father and grandfather he was to each of you. Al will be missed by all, but praise our heavenly father, I know he is resting in peace.

I will be forever grateful to Al for his guidance I was a young sports information director at what was then Augusta College. Al was a kind and generous man, and he taught me a great deal about journalism and sports. Thanks Al, you will be missed!

sad to see another great newspaper proffessional pass. Al was helpful and shared his knowledge with many of the young people who worked for the newspaper at some time in their lives. Rest in peace old friend.jan
