Juanita Palmer

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Juanita L. Palmer, wife of the late John B. Palmer, entered into rest on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at The Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Jones and Rev. Fred Gunter officiating. Interment to follow in Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Palmer was a graduate of Tubman High School and attended the Junior College of Augusta, and retired from Fort Gordon. She and her husband owned and operated Palmer's Cleaners until 1985. Mrs. Palmer was a member of The Hill Baptist Church, where she was a part of the Emanuel Sunday School Class and the Fellowship Club. She was also a member of the Boating Club of Augusta. Family members include two sons, Archie Lee and Brian Lee (Tammy) both of Augusta; her granddaughter, Christina L. Oglesby (Buddy); her sister, Margaret Hamilton; and her daughter-in-law, Sonja Lee. Pallbearers will be David Hargrove, Kenneth Hale, Garrett Fulcher, Richard Harley, Charlie Key, and Jim Mills.
