Alexander Myers Obituary

Myers, Alex
Alexander (Alex) Keith Myers, 27, died suddenly of pneumonia, Thursday, July 15th at his home. Born in Columbia, MO on April 27, 1983 to Luisa and Gregory Myers. Alex spent most of his childhood life in Manchester, NH. He graduated in 2002 from Memorial High School in Manchester and then went on to graduate with two bachelors degrees in Political Science and English from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI in 2007. Alex was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Alex also went on to attend Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, CA, where he was due to graduate in December 2010. Alex lived his life to the fullest and made many friends along the way. He was a compassionate person and brought joy to everyone around him. He had a thirst for knowledge and a questioning attitude. He never accepted anything on face value without knowing the reason why. He had the ability to brighten a room with his smile, and the ability to turn a bad situation into a funny situation. His wit and humor will be missed by all who knew him. Alex was a driven person, who accomplished much during his lifetime. He enjoyed reading, football, basketball, outdoor activities and his time spent with his roommates and lifetime friends he met throughout his life. Alex is survived by his father, Gregory Myers; step-mother Laura Myers; step-sister Kelley Hanson; step-brother Michael Hanson; Maternal Uncle & Aunt - Ralph and Trinidad Sandoval; cousins Robert Sandoval and Melissa Grenridge; Maternal Grandmother - Pasquala Trevino and numerous extended family including the Benny Trevino family, Esteban Trevino family and the Emilio Trevino family. A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd. Peoria, AZ at 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Donations may be forwarded to the Humane Society in lieu of flowers. In the words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, "When a great man dies, for years the light he leaves behind him, lies on the paths of men." Alexander will be sorely missed by many and fondly remembered by all. Alexander brought light to all of us, the light has been extinguished too soon.
