Matthew Stellyes Obituary

Stellyes, Matthew James
Matthew J. Stellyes passed away early last week. Matt was 24 years old and a beloved grandson, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He was born January 7, 1986, in Coldwater, Michigan and lived most of his life in Arizona. He is survived by his father Brian Slone, mother Sherri Slone and siblings Erica and Mark; and his "adopted" family, Del and Pat Stellyes and siblings Jody and Mindy. Services will be held Tuesday June 8, at 2:00 p.m. at Advantage Funeral Home, 11211 W. Michigan Avenue, Youngtown, AZ, with visitation between 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Sunland Memorial Park. Matthew was loved and will be missed by all.

Matt you were one of my best friends growing up! I will remember that every time you would get up to bat during are little league games, every body in the outfield would start backing up far as the field would allow. My son Cody and I took Matt to games and I was the class mother at Nadaburg helping Matt with his reading. I always had a tender place in my heart for him. I'm so sorry. Love to Mindy and family.
