James Chavez Obituary
James "Jimmy" Harold Chavez Olea, 50, passed away March 20, 2010. He was born July 24, 1959 in Phoenix, AZ to Benjamin and Beatrice Chavez. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Beverly Chavez Olea; mother Beatrice M. Chavez; children Jayson Sanchez, Jeremy Sanchez, James Chavez Jr., Jynneva Chavez, Daniel Lopez, Desire Lopez, and Jeremy Rodriguez; 8 grandchildren; and 7 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010 from 5 to 8 pm with a Rosary service at 7 pm at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 W Thunderbird Rd., Peoria, AZ. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 2 pm at St. Agnes Catholic Church 1954 N 24th St., Phoenix, AZ. Memorial donations can be made at Bank of America in the name of James Harold Chavez Olea.

I grew up with Jimmy and had many, many fun times in and out of school. We shared a "joke" that only we knew what it was about. I will always remember that. Not only was he a wonderful cousin, he was a great friend and human being. To his wife and children, God Bless you always. To his mom and siblings, Jimmy will never be forgotten. God bless you all. I love you Jimmy.

As children, you were a huge part of our family. As an adult we loved and respected you. Although we lost our way and did not keep in contact as much, we thought of you often. In death our hearts are grieving as we realize that we will never see you again.
To Jimmy's entire family, words cannot express the sorrow we feel for you all. We love you all and pray that you have the strength to get through this with the love of God. He was an exceptional man that we will never forget. Gone too soon... RIP Brother.

You don't know me but I knew Jimmy and I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss.I am Sandra Padilla's sister. I met Jimmy back in the 80's when they built the new dam in Logan,NM.(thats where we were raised). Through the years I would sometimes run into him in St. Johns when I was there to visit Sandra and Victor.It was always good to see Jimmy. I know that Jimmy was very loved by so many people and he will be truely missed. Hold on tight to all the wonderful memories you and him had and keep them close to your heart, for he will always be there. Take care and GOD bless you and your family. May HE comfort you and give you strength.

Beverly, I know this is a very difficult time for you. Jimmy was your heart and soul. Now he has moved on to a better place. He will be very missed. I will always remember his smile and hugs as we departed after dinner's etc. Keep holding on and let him go be with god and place him in your heart forever.
