Myrtle Altizer Obituary

Altizer (McConn), Myrtle
87 of Phoenix passed away peacefully April 18th, 2011. She was a lovely lady & will be missed by all that knew her. Myrt was born February 14th, 1924 in Fairfax, MN & grew up in North Dakota on the Family farm. She & her first husband Gordon McConn resided in Minot, North Dakota. Myrt moved to Phoenix in 1965. After retiring from Mountain Shadows Resort in 1994, Myrt was very active with the Sunnyslope Senior Center. Myrt was preceded in death by her beloved son Donavon McConn on November 5th, 2008. Myrt is survived by Donavon's wife, Diane, of Martinez, CA, her son David & his wife Beth, of Cave Creek, AZ, 3 grandchildren, Donavon, Eric & Renee; 5 great grandchildren, Zoe, Dylan, Kate, Ethan & Preston; 1 great great granddaughter, Lyla; her surviving sister Leona Anderson of Billings, MT; and several nieces & nephews. Memorial Celebration Service Thursday April 28th 3:00 pm Hansen Chapel, 8314 North 7th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85020. Please visit www.hansenmortuary.com to send online condolences.
