Smith, Marion "Smitty" or "Cowboy" Lee
76 of Laveen, Arizona, went home to be with the Lord on June 23rd, 2011. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sonja Johnson Garcia. "Smitty", as he was known to many, or "Cowboy" is survived by his loving wife, Patricia "Pat" H. Smith; his loving children, Sara Birdinground, Burton Smith, Patrick Smith, Sandra Lea Nasewytewa, Eric Smith, Rebecca Suchta, and Michelle Smith; brothers, Garland Smith and Lonnie Smith; sister, Bonnie Bay; 22 1/2 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He will forever be loved and dearly missed. The Visitation to honor Marion "Smitty" or "Cowboy" Lee Smith will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with the Funeral Service beginning at 8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 28th, 2011, at Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home, 717 West Dobbins Road, Phoenix, Arizona. The Graveside Service will take place at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 29th, 2011, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona. A procession from Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home to the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona will leave promptly at 9:30 AM, Wednesday, June 29th, 2011. Arrangements entrusted to Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home, Inc.

To my Uncle Marion, I love you so much, I remember so many good times with you and your family and the Randall family. We would come to visit you on your place in Laveen, You had some horses, some other animals, you had cantalopes, watermelons, just a bunch of stuff, I had my first childhood crush on you Uncle Marion, Your wonderful smile your white tee shirt with the arms rolled up, very tuff guy, very handsome, you where always so happy and fun to be around I love you and I miss you so. God Bless your family and I pray that I will see you one day.
