Hi, Dad!

Another year has come and gone. Changes all around us - light rail, poor economy, gas prices up and down. Times are hard. You are the one thing that brings me comfort. I know you've been busy tying up our telephone lines for the last month and enjoy talking to you when I can. I miss you, too! I know that you know I am engaged to be married. I was hoping you would be around (in the physical sense) to walk me down the aisle. But, I do know that your spirit is always with me. Anthony will stand in for you, okay? Do something to let me know that you approve, okay? Wish I could see you and hug you. I miss you something fierce! Talk to you, again, soon! Take Care and God Bless! Happy holidays to you!
I love you so very deeply!
Much, much love,

Michelle Potts

Hello Mr. Ed,
Just wanted to let you know that the light rail is now officially rolling and Ernie was the first out of all of us to ride it yesterday! I will go for a ride as soon as I can just for you. Love and miss you immensely :o(
Take care,
Sweet Thing

Dad,
HAPPY EASTER! up there in Heaven. I've had a some things come across my path, lately, to remind me of you and what a wonderful, loving, caring, giving, compassionate, passionate, honest, trusted, worthy, remarkable, handsome, intelligent, wise, funny and friendly (I'm sure there's more) human being that you are. You LIVED a great life and created and awesome legacy. I only wish that I could be and do the same in my life. The kids and I miss you very much. When I think of you, I can't help but to smile and be so very proud of you. I am proud and honored to have you as my dad. Keep my spot for me, by your side and I'll see you in Heaven. You're the BEST!
Love Forever, Dawn

Dad,

I know you've been calling, again, lately. I love you and miss you, deeply. People have said and keep saying that over time, it will get easier. I don't believe them. It's not any easier today, than it was when you left. The kids and I are doing fine and talk about you all of the time. Hope you enjoyed the poinsettas for Christmas. I know they are your favorite flowers. We know that you are here, with us, at home and wherever we go and that feels good. I wish I could hug you tight. I miss the hugs you used to give me every day, many of them. Someone gave me this poem when I was feeling sad and missing you. How true it is and it made me smile at the end.

THE BROKEN CHAIN

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

I love you, Dad! I can't wait to see you again! I miss you, I need you. Please, hug me...tight. Thank you for everything you are to me. I am, truly, blessed. Continue to call us and let us know you are there.
Hugs and Kisses!
Love, Dawn

Dad...I miss you a lot! The holidays are here and you were such a big part of them. You were Mr. Holiday. Through these holidays, as we celebrate Jesus, we are also celebrating you, your life and our lives with you. Thank you for your continued love and protection over us. It must be so beautiful in heaven, especially at this time of the year! Celebrate and rejoice to the fullest. I just wanted to let you know that we love you and miss you. We enjoy your way of letting us know you're around us always (the telephone calls). I'm sure you're keeping busy and doing lots of what you love the most...socializing. Take care up there! You're "Always in Our Hearts!" Love, Dawn

Dad . . .Today was a beautiful day. There was peace and tranquility. It was nice to see some of the many lives you have touched, as they came to pay tribute and respect to you. Your name was on everyone's lips, followed by a smile or laughter. Some people even said, "I can clearly see you're nuts." (Ha, Ha, Ha!) We celebrated you and your life today and I hope you are happy and proud. I love you and miss you very much and I don't think that will ever go away or lessen. We will be together, again, one day and until then, be good and be YOU. I will be talking to you every day and I know that you'll be around me. So, I say to you, "Goodbye, for now but not forever. I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND WAY DOWN DEEP IN MY SOUL. You're the best."
