Doris Moon Obituary

Moon, Ms. Doris T.
age 80, of Phoenix, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Paradise Valley Senior Retreat in Paradise Valley, AZ after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Doris Moon was born December 4, 1930 in Lincoln County, MS to the late J.J. and Ella Thames. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Betty Jean Moak. Doris moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1975 where she was one of the early founding members of the Ladybugs AA Group. Among her many interests were traveling and collecting Asian antiques, trade beads, and vintage calendar girl prints. Doris is survived by sons Randy Bessonette of Brandon, MS and John Moon, Jr. of Cabo San Lucas, MX; granddaughter Cheri Etter of Texas, and four great grandchildren. There will be a private Memorial Service in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley - Fund Development, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, Arizona 85014.
