Underwood, Harry Clark
91 of Glendale, Az died peacefully on August 19, 2017. Harry was born on February 11, 1926 in Cortland, New York to Harry E. and Dorotha Underwood. After high school, Harry decided to attend Cornell University. Then on June 12, 1948, he married the love of his life, Ruth Joanne. In 1963, they started with a dairy farm in Tully, New York. Then, in 1973, they headed west and establish the Gladtime Farm West, a Registered Holstein Dairy, located in Tolleson, Az. After passing along the tricks of the trade to his 4 sons, he retired from the dairy business in 2006. Over the years, Harry was involved in 4H, the Holstein Association, and was a lifetime member of the Masonic lodge. Harry is preceded in death by his parents Harry E. and Dorotha Underwood; his bride of 65 years, Ruth Joanne; and brother, William. Survived by 4 sons and sister-in-law: Charles Edward (wife Joni), Robert Dale (wife Kathie), John David (wife Bonita), William Donald (wife Cheryl), and Jean. He has a 16 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren as well as countless nieces and nephews. Harry's celebration of life will be held at Valley View Bible Church, 4222 E. Lincoln Drive at 11:00am on Friday, September 8th, 2017, with Dr. James Graham officiating. A luncheon will follow. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
