Jane Blackwell Obituary

Blackwell, Jane Schlumberger
60, of Tempe, Arizona passed away on October 2, 2009. Jane was born in Columbus, Ohio, on July 20, 1949. She was a graduate of Mount St. Mary's Academy and attended Mount Holyoke College and the University of Arkansas. After college, Jane moved to Arizona, where she spent many years as a bank executive in the Phoenix area and later obtained a master's degree in human resources. Jane is survived by her husband, James Blackwell of Tempe; her mother, Mary Lewis Turner of Little Rock; her sister and brother-in-law, Ann L. Schlumberger and Rob Young of Tucson; and her brother and sister-in-law, Charles L. and Ann B. Schlumberger of Little Rock; and her mother-in-law, Betty Lorenz of Phoenix. A memorial service will be held for Jane at the Living Faith Anglican Church, 1945 E. Guadalupe Road, Tempe, at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 10, 2009. Arrangements were made through Angel's Cremation and Burial, 422 W. McLellan Rd., Mesa, AZ. Jane's final resting place will be the Serenity Mausoleum at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Arizona Animal Welfare League, 30 N. 40th Place, Phoenix, AZ, or Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E Flower St, Phoenix, AZ.

Charles and Anne....I have such wonderful memories of Jane from MSM days. She was a great friend.....so much fun and so smart! And that smile...would brighten anyone's day!
