I remember once when I told Grampie about a Little league baseball game I lost because I dropped a pop fly and when Grampie saw the baseball glove I had used, he said, "no wonder you dropped the ball, that glove's too small". And so we drove to the sporting goods store where he bought me a Wilson A2000 baseball glove. It's the best glove I've ever had, and I still have it today. I'll always remember him as a generous, considerate, and loving grandfather. I hope to see you in heaven, I love you Grampie, love your grandson Ronnie.

Grampie,
I love and miss you. You lived your life to the fullest and set a great example for everyone. I will miss your great personality and sense of humor. I loved visiting you and Grammie at your house on Shannon Drive as a kid. You had the best backyard. I remember you lying out in the sun while we swam in the pool. I also remember playing in the rocks while you watered the trees in the orchard. Parties on Christmas Eve were so fun. It was always amazing to see all the presents piled up so high and tiny stockings hanging up for everyone. Thank you for bringing up such a great family which I am honored to be part of. You taught your children great values, which have definitely been passed down to us grandchildren. I grew up listening to words of wisdom from my mom that she learned from you. You had a loving heart and great morals and were truly an inspiration to me. It is comforting to know that you are in heaven with God watching over us all. I know it isn't goodbye...but only "see you later"... I love you Grampie!

Grampie,

What an amazing family you have created and I feel so blessed to be a part of it. You were such a loving and funny person who put a smile on all of our faces and I will never forget what you used to say to me.. "Did I step on your baby's face?" I love you and miss you so much and you will always be in my heart.

Hi Dad,
I cannot believe it's already been a month since you have passed on to Heaven. I wanted to tell you that not a day goes by that I don't think about you. I have so many wonderful memories and I picture you so vividly in my mind. I can see your smile and I can hear your laugh - you were always so silly no matter where we were.

The love you and mom shared with one another has taught all of us how to love, how to respect each other, and to keep our sense of humor.

You have touched SO many lives dad, mom received tons of beautiful cards and letters - the love and support has been overwhelming. YOU are an exceptional man, and what a blessing you and mom have been to our entire family.

You were our family's anchor dad, now that you have been called from this life, I know you are now capable of being with all of us in spirit; to watch over us and to guide us all each and everyday.

I miss you so much and wish we could have you back, but as we know, our plan here is to love one another and to help one another, that our main pupose and goal in life is to live eternally in heaven. You started our wonderful family by taking mom's hand in marriage. Now you can start building our family again, eternally, once we are all called home in God's time, where you will be once again - our anchor.

I love you dad!
Tons of hugs and kisses! XOXOXOX

Dad,
It's already been a month since God took you home. Not a day goes by that I'm not thinking of you.
I'm thankful my family was able to move to Arizona to be able to have the past 7 years with you.
I love and miss you Dad!

We little knew that morning
God was going to call your name,
In Life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you
You did not go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories
Your love is still our guide,
And although we cannot see you
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again.

Dad, I love and miss you so much! I want to tell you a few things that are on my mind. I think about all of the happy memories I have of you and I thank you for them all! I laugh at many of them and they help to comfort me during this difficult time. Some of my favorite memories are when we played basketball together (the game of horse and around the world and you would show me your famous hook shot!). And the time you took Joe and I out on our boat to the lake in Spokane, and after the long drive we launched the boat into the lake, you then realized you forgot the boat key! I laughed so hard that day! I thank you for teaching me how to drive. I have to say that you taught me more about driving then my Driver's Ed teacher ever did. And the many times we had moved around... although it was difficult for me in starting new schools, I want to thank you for moving us to Spokane, WA where I met my wonderful husband Larry! All of the many decisions you made for our family were the right ones. Thank you for your love, laughter and the gift of Faith. We are all truly blessed in having you for our father and mom for our wonderful mother!! I will always keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and close to my heart! God bless you dad. Love always, Judy ...Jake/Jason.

Grampie,

Thank you for raising such an amazing daughter, my mother, Barbara. She is such a wonderful mother, friend, and grandmother to my children.

I will always remember the wonderful times that I was able to spend visiting with you and Grammie over Christmas and Spring Break. Michael, Ronnie, and I loved it when you, my dad, and all of the uncles would have their poker nights. I loved hearing the laughing, and we would always find a few quarters on the floor the next day. I certainly have missed those days, and will miss you, Grampie!

Grampie,
We all love you and miss you dearly. Thank you for creating such a loving family with grammie. We will always remember all the fun family get togethers over the years, and keep those memories close to heart, and create more as we go on. Every time mom and I came to visit, you were always so loving and had a smile on your face, cracking jokes, always ready to make conversation. Thank you for being so good to Grammie, to your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Every time I see a red balloon I think of you. :)I hope you enjoyed all those balloons that floated to heaven!! We miss and love you Grampie, always..

Bill, you were everything to me. So now I have lost the greatest most wonderful love of my life. God has been so good to you and me. He has given us 66 beautiful years together, sharing our love with our 12 children.
We both fell in love on our very first date and that special love has grown all through the years. We have so many happy memories of our fun times together and with our children growing up.

Bill, I love you so and I miss you terribly. I am praying for you everyday and am looking forward to being with you when God calls me. Please give our little Michael a big hug and kiss and tell him that I love him.

Loads of love honey!

The Love of your Life,

Bill, I remember my first date with Dodie. We were going to see ASU play football. While I was waiting for her, you and and I talked sports. You asked me if I liked Notre Dame. I told you how much I disliked them. Little did I know you were their #1 fan. I always said I failed the son-in-law test. Somewhere in your heart you forgave me for being so misguided. You were a good man and wonderful father. Rest in peace.

Grampie, thank you for helping me become the man I am today. Your humor, ability of getting to the bottom of things, and leadership through earning the respect of others with actions have formed me in my life more than I can count or explain. Thank you for being a Roman Catholic role model for me and creating with Grammie so many special memories of our family. I can still hear you..."Is that the Pumpkin?" Know that I love you and will never forget you.

Bill, I will always be thankful to you and Delores for the most wonderful gift of my life, my fabulous wife Barbara. I know it must have been difficult entrusting your first daughter to my care 44 years ago. Your humor and compassion will never be forgotten, I miss you dearly.

Bill,
Something I should have said but never did…of all the things in my life that have meant the most to me, one of the things that I hold the nearest and dearest, is how you and Delores took me in to your loving family. It was not always easy to live away from my own family, but you and your family always made me feel genuinely part of a bigger family – yours. Thank you for everything that you meant to all of our lives! You will be greatly missed!
