William McCall Obituary
William Johathan McCall (Jon) left his family and friends far too early, passing from this earth on Sunday, October 17, 2010. Jon was born in January 15, 1969 in Morgantown, NC. He lived the last 30 years in Phoenix. Jon was a graduate of Tolleson High School where he was active in athletics and an outstanding football player. Jon is the father of two outstanding children, Megan (12) and Andrew (7) who both exemplify their family values of excellence. His wife of 18 years, Andrea, is a teacher at West Wing Elementary School. John spent his career in the energy field. He had progressed to the position of Control Room Operator at Arlington Energy Facilities in Tonopah, AZ. Jon was popular with his friends and valued his role and reputation with them. Jon was active in outdoor sports, whether with his family or friends. He was a very good golfer, a scuba diver and a fisherman, which he and his family enjoyed doing as often as they could. All of those he was close to will miss Jon. Beside his wife and children, Jon is survived by his mother, Leslie McCall living in Idaho; his brother Chris from Phoenix; his grandmother Dorothy McCall who lives in North Carolina; nephew Brendan and niece Sarah who live in Peoria, AZ. He was predeceased by his father, William McCall and Jack McCall, his paternal grandfather. Jon's all too early departure from this life will leave an emptiness for all who knew him well. A memorial service for Jon will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ (623-434-7007).

I was friends with Jon in high school and just recently found out about his passing, my heart just sank. My condolences and prayers go out to Jon's family. I'm truly blessed to have had him as my friend.

Jon was a great guy and a great friend, would someone please email me and let me know what happened to Jon, I was childhood friends with Jon and went to school with him here in Morganton, NC. I just can't believe that Jon is gone. 41 is just too young. I worked with he and his dad at Palo Verde. Jon was always there if you needed a helping hand, at work or otherwise. I was fortunate enough to work on Crew with Jon these last few months. He was passionate about his work, and I know he cared deeply about his family. He put in a lot of hours, but I think he did that to ensure his family was taken care of. On shift you get to talking, between the routine, and you start to learn about ones personal life and their character. I was looking forward to getting to know Jon better. My deepest condolences go out to his family. I will miss him.
