My condolences to Steve's family.
Like some of the others who have left message, Steve was an online friend to me. He was a distinctive voice in forums devoted to prostate cancer, and I found him to be particularly supportive when I got my diagnosis and was searching for answers. He made a difference in my life, and I am glad he was there for me.

I didn't know steve except through the various internet. I know how active he was in sharing his knowledge and his prostate cancer journey. As a cancer survivor myself, I offer my condolences to his family and friends.

I first "met" Steve on a prostate cancer newsgroup in 2003 or 2004 at which time he dedicated himself to assisting others in their fight against this disease. Since then, he has lent a tremendous amount of intelligence and knowledge to those of us on Alt.Support.Cancer.Prostate. I feel that in his loss, I have lost a friend. May he rest in peace.

I didn't know Steve well, but I know he did his best to help and comfort others in the PCa community. He fought the good fight; he finished the race.
From Steve's signature files, I know he was a fan of Robert Heinlein.
Heinlein's posthumous book, "To Sail Beyond the Sunset", draws its title from a poem, "Ulysses", by Tennyson. I encourage everyone who reads this to look up the poem online, and pay special attention to the end of the poem, starting with the line "To sail beyond the sunset..."
May he rest in peace and the perpetual light shine upon him.
