Samuel G. Kephart

Samuel G. Kephart, 71, of Scottsdale / Surprise, AZ passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Sam was born to his parents, Sam and Agnes Kephart on January 11, 1937 in Denver, CO. Sam was a US Army artillery veteran who served from 1955 to 1958 and spent time in Korea. He lived much of his life in Cleveland, Ohio where he was a master carpenter, member of the Carpenters' Union, and an employee of the Penn Central/Conrail railroad. He moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1978 where he was self employed and enjoyed his hobbies of gun and antique clock collecting, and classic cars and trucks. Sam is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Alice (nee Huff), and his four children, Debi Shea (Husband Patrick) of Cleveland, Ohio, Sam Kephart of Jacksonville, FL, George Kephart of Cleveland, Ohio, and Paul Kephart (Wife Cheryl) Of Surprise, AZ. He also has 5 cherished grandsons - Jeremy, Jesse, and George Kephart and Ryan and Michael Shea, and and one cherished granddaughter, Taylor Kephart. Services will be held at Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel, 13738 W. Camino Del Sol Blvd., Sun City West, AZ 85375. Viewing will be Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday June 2, 2008 from Noon to 1 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday June 2, 2008 at the Funeral Chapel.
