Verna Marshall Obituary
Verna Marshall, 83, loving wife and amazing mother has gone to Heaven. She was a longtime resident of Phoenix, and passed on Thursday, July 3, 2014. She was born to the late Edwin and Helen Bullard on 4/29/1931 in Denver, Colorado. Verna graduated from Hudson High School in 1949 and received her Bachelor's in Education in 1962 from Colorado State College of Education. She married Tom Marshall on 3/14/1956, and they lived in Brighton, Colorado before relocating to Phoenix, AZ in 1974. Verna was a second grade teacher, stay at home mom, and wife. She loved taking care of her two boys, Phil and Kevin and her loving husband, Tom. She was a great cook and thrived on keeping everyone around her fed and happy. Verna was an active member of the Glendale First United Methodist Church. She loved to return to Colorado to visit family and friends. Verna is survived by her husband Tom Marshall, her sons: Phil Marshall and Kevin Marshall; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Verna was loved by many and will greatly be missed by her family and friends. Services will be held this Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Chapel in Peoria, Arizona.

Verna was always there for me. She helped me through some unhappy times and always did everything with a smile and a laugh. Without her and I would not have benn able to purchase her childhood home in Hudson. I will miss you terribly.

I know we had our differences but you were an amazing person and a WONDERFUL part of my life and my childrens life I am so glad you were there. THANK YOU FOR THAT. YOU will be greatly missed. I am sorry I could not be there. But I think you know my heart was there.

Verna was an amazing matriarch for the Marshall family. Her love and generosity was a gift given to her from above. I only knew her a few short years but experience her legacy through her son, Kevin and her grandchildren. She will be missed but will never be forgotten...Godspeed Verna...

Grandma you will forever be missed and treasured! We couldn't have asked for a better person in our lives and for that we are thankful to have had you as long as we did. Our memories made together and with family I will forever cherish and honor. Thank you for everything! I love you more!
