Alexander Martinez Obituary

Alexander Gonzalez Martinez 1935 - 2010 Alex attended Bakersfield schools and later attended Real Estate school. He was active in Real Estate until his retirement, helping the Hispanic community with his Notary Public status. Alex was a member of the Living Hope Baptist Church. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and enjoyed sharing the gospel. Alex is survived by his wife of 37 years, Emma; daughter, Alice; sons, Daniel and Nick; stepson, Robert; sister, Josie Villanueva; brothers, Augustine, Tony, Leo and wife, Elida, John and wife, Rachel; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving Alex are his grandchildren whom he enjoyed dearly. Three special ones he cared for as grandchildren are Breana, Emily and Donnie III. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Wake service at 6:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. Greenlawn Mortuary www.bakersfield.com/obits
