Dolores Alton Obituary

Dolores M. Alton September 27, 1926 - December 25, 2010 An inspiring person and a deeply loved woman, Dolores Alton, went to be with our Lord on Christmas Day. Dolores was born on September 27, 1926 in Seattle, Washington to Jess and Helen Miller and passed away in Bakersfield, CA on December 25, 2010. Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Helen Miller; her son, Richard Alton; and her favorite daughter-in-law, Billie Alton. Dolores is survived by her two sons, Dale Alton and his wife, Joyce of Sacramento, CA, Bert Alton of Bakersfield, CA; and her daughter, Maymie Bornstein of Eugene, OR; as well as several of her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Dolores will be remembered for her tremendous love and kindness to animals; she had a magic touch for any creature that desperately needed love, which she was more than willing to give. She will be deeply missed by her family and her two favorite granddaughters, Jerica and Leah Bornstein. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd. Viewing will be Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Rest in peace, Dolores. We are going to miss mom Going to miss talking to her on the phone. We shared a lot of memories loved playing cribbage with mom she would always stop by when we lived close to her. My husband adopted mom long before I knew her and we've been married 33years. Mom and Wayne used to take care of horses down in San Bernardino before Mom moved to Oregon in 76 then my future husband had to move up here in 77 that is when & where I met him She was there for our wedding and the birth of our kids. Until we meet again mom my family & I will have fond memories of our live with you. Our prayers go out to Bert Maymie and Dale and their families for their loss.
