Outside of work and his community involvement, he played golf and enjoyed watching sports and old westerns. He was a friend to all and loved to socialize. He enjoyed a good joke and laughed much. He will be missed by many. He and Dottie frequently entertained in their home and he never missed a party. He and Dot traveled after retirement and took many cruises, seeing the world. As a former co-worker I remember Mr. Tate from Bessie Owens, I remember the fun time we used to have with him, he would says something funny if you were sad. From him I learned to be a good supervisor you must be a also good friend and a good listener. Mr.Tate was a good principal to work under. So to the family I am sending my deepest sympathy to you and yourd on the lost of a good man.
