Joyce Marie Bryson July 13, 1946 - November 6, 2010 Joyce Marie Bryson "Granny" was born on July 13, 1946 in Harrisburg, AK. She was one of 7 children. She met and& married Alva Glenn "Bud" Moody. They had four children: two sons, Leslie and Tommy, and two daughters, Cindy and Lorenda. Joyce was preceded in death by first husband, Alva Glenn Moody; both daughters, Lorenda Ann Turner and Cindy Moody; and husband, Ed Bryson. She is survived by son, Leslie Moody and wife Debbie; son, Tommy Moody and wife Lori; son-in-law, David Turner and wife Julie; as well as brother, Rick Casalman and wife Jeanette; sisters, Karen Westmoreland and Gaye Winmuller; grandchildren, Amanda Moody, Savannah Moody, Leslie Moody Jr., Travis Moody, Wyatt Moody, and Bud Turner; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Brandon Valenzuela, London Witcher, and Chase Turner. Viewing is Wednesday, Nov. 10th, from 5-8 p.m. at Hillcrest Mortuary, with a Chapel Service to be held on Thursday, Nov. 11th, at 2:00 p.m. www.bakersfield.com/obits

Joyce was my childrens' grandma,grandkids' greatgranny and my friend. Joyce was a tough cookie, but most of all she was a mother,grandma,greatgranny,sister,and friend. We had our goodtimeswe laugh about and years we wasted on the badtimes. But we where able to become close friends again over the last few years. We have lost alot friends and family together(my mom,Cindy,Lorenda, Papa Ed and many others) Now we have lost you too.
When I think of the years we wasted in anger, I hope that we learn not sweat the small stuff (I heard that from my dear nephew) and get past the anger before we lose another family member to soon..... Life is to short to waste it on anger and learn to forgive.

To the Family & Friends of Joyce Bryson: She has been reunited with Family members in Heaven! I know As a Family Unit there has been alot of pain to deal with, from loss of Loved ones , yes sometimes it hits hard at first, many of times the pain is slow in coming. the reality of someone passing can be and is so overwhelming that you will not allow yourself to feel the pain, which that pain is part of the healing process, so know it is ok to cry , to morn, and it is by far ok to celebrate thier life as They would want to be remembered in life! Joyce used to work at the Walmart where I work. She was always in a feisty mood, with always something funny to say. I'm saddened to hear that she passed away. It's been a year since we last chatted; catching up on life. Rest easy Joyce.
