Jack Donald Bledsoe

1935 - 2006

Jack Donald Bledsoe made his passing to be with the Lord on Nov. 23, 2006. Jack was born in Taft, California to Dave and Elba Bledsoe on January 20, 1935. He graduated from Taft High School and he then married his High School sweetheart Peggy Euleda Newton. After being married they moved to Fresno, California, where he then attended Barber School. After graduating Barber School they returned to Taft where he then opened his own Barber shop. Jack's Barber Shop was like a scene from the Andy Griffith Show, where friends and customers would sit, laugh and tell stories. Jack enjoyed his gospel music andwas part of a group called Desertaires Quartet. Their smooth blend of gospel music blessed many people all over Taft and the Bakersfield area. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy, of 50 years; his parents, Dave and Elba Bledsoe. He is survived by his son, Blake Bledsoe and wife, Debbie; daughter, Jennifer Faires and husband, Eddie, all of Bakersfield. He is also survived by his brother, Bob Bledsoe and wife, Joanne of Taft; grandchildren, Courtney Jaime and husband, Mike, David Bledsoe and wife, Samantha, Nichole Bolles, Mathew Bledsoe, Andrew Bledsoe;and his only great-grandchild, Rylan Bledsoe, all of Bakersfield. Jack was a wonderful Father and Grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. A memorial service will be on Thursday, November 30th, at 11:00 a.m., at Laurelglen Bible Church, 2801 Ashe Road.
