Clinton Mark Hyatt "Clint" February 5, 1981 - September 17, 2010 Visitation for Clinton Mark Hyatt "Clint" will be held Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at Liberty Christian Center on South H St. at McKee Rd. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Christian Center. Graveside services will be private. Clint is preceded in death by his father, Mark Hyatt; uncle, Cliff Hyatt; paternal grandparents, John and Barbara Hyatt and maternal grandparents, James and Verda McIntosh. He is survived by his loving wife, Sara Hyatt; mother and stepfather, Lisa and Osama Hegazy; brothers, Doug Easley and Chris Hyatt; sister and brother-in-law, Kari and Leonel Cortes; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Judy and Terry Kyner; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kyle and Betsy Espinoza; brother-in-law, Ryan Espinoza; grandfather-in-law, Russ Edwards; and his loving dog, Chango; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The most important thing to Clint was his family and friends which he loved and cherished. Each and every day Clint made sure to show those he loved and cared for exactly how important they were with his sincere ways and "I love you's." Mr. Hyatt as the students would call him was a wonderful man, coach, and mentor to many students at McKee Middle School and Golden Valley High School. He loved working with kids and always hoped to make a positive impact on their lives. He tried to make people smile and laugh as often as he could. Although his time with us was so very short, he will always be remembered and loved forever. In lieu of flowers the Hyatt family has set up a memorial fund in the name of Clint Hyatt to help with the funeral expenses at Wells Fargo Bank. The account number is 6810403805. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. For additional service information, please contact Basham Funeral Care at 873-8200. Basham Funeral Care www.bakersfield.com/obits

I can´t believe it´s been 13 years. It still seems like yesterday we were having lunch and acting crazy in Americorps. I miss our conversations and shenanigans with Julius. You two were some great friends. I still have the power of twins/teamwork paper you gave us all at a meeting. I pulled it out a few weeks ago and reminisced on our memories. Rest in Power, my dear friend, aka Thug Life . You are not forgotten.

I am sorry to say that i did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Hyatt very long or well. I knew him as a teacher, and partially as a friend due to the fact that i never really went to S.I.P or was in sports. His presence in the school will, in fact, be missed and shall hang over the school in a cloud of gloom and sadness for the time being until we all gather the strength to push it away and keep the good memories in our hearts and mind. Mrs. Hyatt, we all recognize your loss and will grieve one tenth less than you and his family, who know him just as well and have more memories with him than most teachers at the school. May god be by your side carrying you over this pothole of agony in the road of life. May complications be overcome and Mr. Hyatt accepted into heaven (which I'm sure he'll have no hard time doing).

To the family of Clint. I did not know him very long, but for the short time that I did he was a great guy, very funny, and out spoken. He made us laugh in class and during our learning team meetings. He was so eager to graduate, working extra hard to reach his goal. My prayers go out to Clint's family.

Clint you will never ever be forgotten. I wish we would've kept in touch during the last few years after McKee moved to Granite Pointe. There are so many things I want to say to you. Thanks for being an amazing friend throughout the years, even when I didn't always return the favor. You ALWAYS remembered my birthday and always sent an email on that day. What friend does that after losing touch?? You always protected my little kindergarteners when we had to walk over to McKee Middle to use the cafeteria for lunch. The big kids would crowd around and you'd help keep them back away from the babies. I could tell the students loved and respected you so much.... as does everyone! There is no one else on this Earth like you. We both loved music like nobody's business and would talk endlessly about our favorite artists. You will be missed by so many Clint. Your family, coworkers, students, and friends are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you knew how much you were/are loved. I hope you can see it from Heaven.

Always stood out as a star primarily because we could see how much Clint genuinely cared about the kids. He knew he could make a difference in their lives. May his short life serve to remind each of us that it is the tiny contributions of many that makes the world a better place. I believe that is Clint's legacy. RIP and know that you will be remembered!

Mr. Hyatt was a great teacher and to many of us (students) a great friend. We all miss him at Mckee ,and wish Mrs. Hyatt, all their family ,and friends best wishes. I am a student at Mckee ,and I know that many of my friends miss him very much. He was one of our favorite teachers ,and he was always there for us when we needed him the most. Now we all are here for Mrs. Hyatt. He was always so happy ,and nice to everyone when we would get in trouble and we would have to go to S.I.P. we would be sort of happy because that meant that we would get to go see him. Now sadly that has been taken away from us. We will all miss and love you Mr. Hyatt.

Clint and I met while working summer school at Horizon. He quickly became a friend to me, as well as to most of the staff. He will be missed not only by family and friends, but by the students fortunate enough to have known him and interact with him. The halls suddenly feel empty and silent without him around. He will be dearly missed by all. My sincere condolences to the family.

Clint, I will never forget you. From the second you, Julius and I met we hit it off. You guys are and will always be my best pals. I remember when we were first hired in the Americorps Program 2002, we were broke and decided to have a car wash and we raised $37. Good times, although it was not a great success we made such a bond. I am so glad I had this last class with you. I wasn't suppose to be in that class. It was a last minute decision. If I wasn't in that class I would not have seen you. I am so glad you didn't let me leave with a hug goodbye. I love you, Clint! You have tought me not to take my friends lifes for granted. Thank you.

My son Anthony Guzman (#34) was real close to him he seen Mr. Hyatt as his hero and Role model he looked up to him and stated that "He will get that Sports Scholarship in honor of Mr. Hyatt" Todays 09/23/10 Game at GVHS VS North will be dedicated to his Honor. Brian Guzman will also miss him greatly they played and joke all the time during the basketball games. We will really miss him he was a great help and a hero to my boys. My god give you and his entire family the comfort and lead you to find the courage that will be found in him. Sending lots of blessing to you and the family.

Clint, you were and are a caring soul who taught me to choose my battles and not to sweat the small stuff. Working together in the after school program was fun and memorable. You are missed by many, but rest assure that you left a long-lasting impression on many! You can take credit for changing the lives of several people in a positive, unforgetable way. Much love, Cristin Rodman

Clint was probably the first new friend i made when I went to work at McKee Middle School. He was always there to help me with my students. He never complained about how many, or how often I would send them to him. We did, however, share a story and a laugh, or two. He greeted me every day with a smile. When I got hurt at work last year he was right there to help me. It was just a couple of weeks ago that he brought Sara and I a sweet tea. What a great person he was. I'll miss him every day. Sara, I will always be there, if you need me.
