Franklyn Lonnie Morgan November 3, 1957 - December 3, 2010 Frank passed away peacefully in his home on December 3, 2010, after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig's disease, diagnosed only three years ago. He was born in Bishop, CA, on November 3, 1957, to Bob and Shirley Morgan. He grew up in the Bakersfield area, attending school at Mt. He moved between Bakersfield, CA, and Hartshorne, OK, over the years but ended up living the final years of his life in Bakersfield, where he enjoyed playing music, golf, and spending time with family and friends. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Bob Ray Morgan Sr.; mother, Imogene "Shirley" Ezell Morgan; and eldest brother, Bob Ray Morgan II. He is survived by brother, Val Morgan; sister, Karen Whitton and husband, Marty; nieces, Karrie Whitton, Kristy Hoover and husband, Steve, Sherr'ie Hall and husband, John; nephew, Bobby Ray Morgan III; great-nephew, Mason Hoover; and great-nieces, Madee Hoover and Kathryn Garcia. He also leaves behind beloved friends, Don Tudor and Debbie Orona. Service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Lane. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any remembrances be made in Frank's honor to the Arvin High Athletics Booster Club (661) 979-3103 or the ALS Association fighting Lou Gehrig's disease (888) 949-2577 or online at www.alsa.org/donate. So sad to hear Frank's passing. I haven't seen him in years, but remember him fondly.

In high school, Frank was rarely seen without a smile on his face. Although I haven't seen Frank in years, he left a positive impression on me that still lasts. EVERYONE (other than opposing runningbacks) loved Frank, especially his teammates. He will be missed.

Until We Meet Again
by Unknown
Each morning when we awake
we know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heartache
As we try to carry on.
Our hearts still ache with sadness
and many tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.
Our thoughts are always with you,
your place no one can fill.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.
There will always be a heartache,
and often a silent tear,
But always a precious memory
Of the days when you were here.
If tears could make a staircase,
And heartaches make a lane,
We'd walk the path to heaven
And bring you home again.
We hold you close within our hearts,
And there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives
Until we meet again.
Our family chain is broken now,
And nothing will be the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
