Gracie Wehunt Obituary

Gracie Jane Wehunt 1913 - 2010 Gracie Jane Wehunt, age 97, passed away peacefully November 18, 2010 and has joined her husband Aubrey in the Kingdom of Heaven. Gracie was born in Oklahoma, March 18, 1913 and spent most of her life in Bakersfield, CA. Gracie enjoyed gardening, working her puzzles, quilting, crocheting, spending time with her family, and most of all, reading her Bible. All of those whose lives she touched will fondly remember Gracie for her generosity, kindness and unconditional love. Her life will be lovingly remembered by her family: Ruby and John Burden, Reba and Don Reading, Ruth and Charles Burden, Jack Wehunt, James Wehunt, Jerry and Barbara Wehunt; over 20 grandchildren, over 40 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren. Gracie will also be reunited with her sons, Boyd & Johnny Dean in the Kingdom of Heaven. "For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." 2 Corinthians 5:1. Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd., Bakersfield, CA 93306 on Sunday from 3-8 p.m., and a memorial celebration of her life will be on Monday at 2:00 p.m. www.bakersfield.com/obits
