In Hubie's obituary it said "he left behind a legacy of assisting others and the gratitude of countless alcoholics." I am one of those grateful for the little black 24 hour book I received in my early days. May God bless all of you.

Hubie use to bring in candy to our office to help with the SPCA or one of the canine clubs and it was all for donations. He was always happy and smiling. What a wonderful, pleasant man he was. My heart goes out to the family. My sincere sympathy to Becky.

My heartfelt condolences to Hubie's daughters. I shall never forget the kindnesses extended to me by Hubie and Marti, making my transition to life at Columbus Estates a more pleasant existence. Their daily encouragement meant so much and buoyed my spirits. I shall never again eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without thinking of Hubie. Rest in peace, dear friend. "Catch you on the flip-flop".
