Kathy Nikkel Obituary

Kathy Kellett Nikkel December 12, 1950 - November 9, 2010 Kathy Kellett Nikkel was born on December 12, 1950 in Bakersfield, CA; and passed away on November 9, 2010 in Elk Grove, CA, at age 59. Beloved wife of 41 years to Ray Nikkel. Mother of Carrie Nikkel of Sacramento, CA and grandmother to Stella Lampe of El Dorado Hills, CA. Preceded in death by her father, William Ervin Kellett; sister, Mary Harthorn; and daughter, Heather Nikkel-Lampe. Kathy is survived by her mother, Willie Mae Kellett of Bakersfield; brother, Michael Kellett of Victoria, TX; sister, Patricia Enterline of Bakersfield; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Kathy graduated from West High in Bakersfield in 1969. Kathy worked as a school clerk for 17 years at Markofer Elementary in Elk Grove where she always had a smile for parents, teachers, and children. Memorial services will be held on Monday, Nov. 22, at 2:00 p.m., at South East Lawn Memorial Park & Mortuary, 9189 East Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove. www.bakersfield.com/obits
