Mary Trantham Obituary

Mary Ellen Trantham May 22,1920 - November 19, 2010 Wife and mother born in Ponca City, Oklahoma where she met and married her husband, Jim Trantham on Nov. 11, 1941. The moved to Bakersfield in 1946 and it was here that Mary studied the Bible and was baptized in 1950 at Democrat Hot Springs as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She pioneered for approximately 20 years taking her daughter Judy along with her. Mary has helped many to come to an accurate knowledge of the Bible. Her great love for Jehovah God and his son Christ Jesus was evident by her devotion to service and meeting attendance. As long as it was possible she never missed associating with the congregation at meetings, assemblies, and conventions. She was always as active as her health would allow. She is survived by her only daughter, Judy Trantham. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 11:00 a.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Bldg.
