Funeral services will be held in the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 12, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., for longtime Taft resident, Tressie L. Demarest, 88. Mrs. Demarest was born in Harrison, Arkansas, on May 9, 1915, and passed away at her home in Taft on February 9, 2004.
Mrs. Demarest moved to Taft in 1945. She worked for Toppers Motel and the Caprice Motel as a clerk for 30 years.
Mrs. Demarest was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Demarest, Sr., in 1998. Her survivors include her son, Fred Demarest, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Lake Las Vegas, Nevada; her grandchildren, Steve Demarest of Manhattan Beach and Laurie Feltheimer of Brentwood; her great-grandchildren, Jillian, Trace, Maya, Jack and Ryan.
Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to service time.
