William "Bill" Morrison 1936 - 2010 William "Bill" Morrison passed away in his home surrounded by his family on December 25, at 12:25 a.m. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather "Papa" and great grandfather "Papa." Bill loved his family and he loved his job. Bill was a Captain with the Kern County Fire Department up until a work related injury caused him to retire. Bill loved hunting, fishing and camping. Bill also loved lunch and card games with all his wonderful friends. But most of all, Bill loved his family. Bill and Sally were married for over fifty five and a half years and have two wonderful daughters, four granddaughters, and three great grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife, Sally; his children, Debbie and Corey Osvog, Julie and Pat Whitmore; his grandchildren, Shannon and Alleigh Osvog, Katie Whitmore, Mandy and Isaac Lupercio; and his great grandchildren, Joey, Gabriel and Ariyanna. Bill knew the Lord and has gone home to be with him. The family would like to thank Dr. Hansa and his staff for their support, care, and kindness over the years. We would also like to thank all the nurses at Memorial Hospital that were always there for Bill and the family. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday December 30, at 10:00 a.m., at Basham Funeral Care, 3312 Niles St. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that a donation is made to Hoffmann Hospice, 8501 Brimhall Road Building 100, Bakersfield, CA 93312.
