Twenty plus years ago Ben and I represented co-defendants in a Federal criminal case. It was one of my fondest memories in my legal career. He was a delight to work with and I learned much from him. While our clients' virtues were questionable, Ben treated them with dignity, respect and compassion. Although I have not seen him in years, I will miss him.

Today I learned of the passing of Benjamin Lipsitz from the editorial section of the Baltimore Sun. I went to Western High School with Ellie; we were in classes together. I did not meet Mr. and Mrs. Lipsitz often, but those times I did, I knew they were gracious and good people. I am very happy to have known them.

Ben was a great human being. Whether he was representing
A prominent attorney or a Arthur Bremer he treated everyone with such courtesy and compassion

Ben was one of the finest attorneys I met in my legal practice. He was a "lawyer's lawyer" and represented each of his clients professionally and above and beyond. The profession has lost one of its giants and he will never be forgotten.

So sorry for your loss. Ben was a wonderful man who was kind enough to give Ann and I a ride to Western High school every day. I admired him and his sense of humor when Ellie and I were friends. He introduced me to loxs and begals and pickled green tomatoes.
I'm sure that he will be missed. I pray for comfort for you at this time.
May God bless you richly.
