Harry was my grandfather and it was always interesting to hear his stories, which there was always one for the occasion. He and I had our differences but I appreciate now more then ever the lessons he taught me and the stories he told me. I know everyone has said that he would always reply with "I'm a hundred percent" and I could see that he always, desperately wanted to be. I called Grandmom and Granddad's house the morning he passed away and Grandad without fail said he was a hundred percent. It's so nice to have the memories that I do of him and that when all of his grandchildren were younger he would take us on a day trip, via train of course, his favorite means of transportation, to New York City, Philadelphia, fishing, or just out for the day. I hope that one day I can be as knowledgeable and wonderful as he was. All of us were extremely lucky to have him in our lives! RIP Granddad. Love you!

Anyone who spent a moment or more with Harry was better for the experience. His warmth, enthusiasm and breadth of knowledge on a vast variety of topics always left me looking forward to our next visit together. Until that time arrives, I will think upon him fondly and smile.

To a wonderful Father in Law who had nothing but the greatest respect for all who he met. Harry always made it a point to include everyone who would listen. A great Father to his three daughters, but most of all worshipped his wife Anna. Truly a GREAT MAN in every aspect of life. Dad you will be deeply missed.
Love SJ.

My Dad, Harry, was awesome. He was vested 1000 percent in everything he did from the RailRoad and volunteering to being an active, involved parent. There is not enough space to truly document how lucky we were to have him as a Dad. RIP - Love Always - Happy Motoring Sports Fan!

Harry was a friend and colleague at the B&O Railroad Museum. I learned a lot about railroading and particularly diesel locomotives from Harry. Harry was also strident in his opinions about the Museum, but at the heart of his opinions was the desire for the Museum to be the best it could. Godspeed, Harry.

I will always remember Harry's response when I would come to cut or perm Lisa's hair. I would say "Hello Harry, how are you doing?" He would respond "100 percent!" No matter how he felt. He was always pleasant to me and had a story to tell. I miss seeing him there in his chair already . Rest in peace.

I have known Harry for many years. He was part of my group of close friends who gather together on Saturdays to share our love of trains. Harry was a wealth of railroad history, fun to talk to and all around great person. He will be greatly missed at St. Denis. God bless him and his family.
