Baltimore has lost a great historian and the community has lost someone who was very charismatic. His classes inspired the students of UB to research more about their town and the desire to learn. He will always be remembered fondly. Condolences to all his family.

Mr. Beirne was a wonderful teacher, mentor and friend. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Beirne family.
