On September 15, 2017 William Neill, III beloved husband of the late Henrietta Stuart Neill (nee Hopper); devoted father of Anne "Bee" Neill Peck and her husband William Ford Peck; loving grandfather of Kathryn Rothwell Fuchs, Anne Lawrason Givner and William Neill Peck. He is also survived by a great granddaughter Frances Marion Fuchs. Receiving of friends at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd., (Beltway exit 26) on Tuesday, September 26th from 6 to 9 PM. Memorial service Wednesday, September 27th at 11 AM at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 232 St. Thomas Lane, Owings Mills with inurnment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Kernan Hospital, Endowment Fund for the benefit of Orthopaedic Research, Attn: Walter Augustis, 2200 Kernan Drive, Gwynn Oak, MD 21207. www.ruckfuneralhomes.com

As a former student and colleague of Bill, I think about him quite often and the legacy he left.
He was my mentor and friend for many years. Not only was he respected and admired by his
peers, but the man had no ego. I used to meet him often on Friday afternoons at the Kernan
campus for jogging and workout sessions. Afterwards we sat in his office to cool down and I
was continually amazed by the various private staff surgical specialists who stopped by to pick his brain. He had the funniest dry humor and quick wit, which required close listening to get
the nuance, keeping us all in stitches. He was especially admired by many of the old Colt players

To Bill Neill III's Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing. I will hold his memory close to my heart because as a very young teenager, I was a patient at Kernan's PT Department after suffering two devastating knee injuries. I had three knee operations which required extended therapy. Not only was I able to walk again, but as an adult, I became a Firefighter/Paramedic. So this very young guy who was scared during a traumatic time in my life was cared for by a gentle caring man. May his memory be a blessing.

I am so sad to hear of the loss of Bill Neill. He was one of a kind and meant so much to many. My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. He will be truly missed.

I was saddened today to learn of Billy Neill's passing. He was a great friend of my mother, his cousin. Although we lived in Nebraska, halfway across the United States they always kept up an annual correspondence and we visited whenever out travels took us near Baltimore.
