Dear Melva, Peggy and Family,
We were so sorry to hear of Don's passing. Although we really only knew him through our kids school activities, he was always a gentleman, and so proud of anything and everything the girls were doing. My mom would also like to send her best, especially to you Melva, as she has many fond memories of being part of the grandparent brigade. My hope is that we can all follow Don's example, and play as an important and loving role in our own grandchildren's lives as he did and will continue to do in his, as his lessons and love will live on in all of your lives.

Melva, Those of us 80-year-olds remember Don in the store; growing up, I do. You and Don always seemed close as, you know, you lived in the house on Franklin Street where my mother and father started their married life.
Many of us will hold onto his memory as you will in the days to come. God Bless.

To Melva, Peg, Steve and families,
My heart is with you all. Uncle Don aka "Dampa Don" was so much a part of my early life, and was there to watch my children grow as well.
He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. I will always remember the family times we shared together. I am grateful for the life of my Uncle Don. May he be at Peace.
