Elena’s family and friends,
I extend my deepest condolences to you during this difficult time. Elena and I went to high school together, and I have especially fond memories from our junior year, when Elena and I ran together on the cross country team. We ran side by side every day that fall, through the easy jogs, the grueling workouts, and the races. I remember marveling that Elena was an incredibly gifted natural athlete, and I always wished that I were as fast a runner as she. Elena was so warm and kind to all those around her. She will be forever remembered for her charming laugh and her radiant smile, a smile that absolutely could not be ignored. My thoughts are with you all.

It's amazing the print some people leave on your life, even if you didn't personally know them. I was a year ahead of Elena in high school and I remember seeing a beautiful girl walking in the halls with the biggest, brightest smile. May her soul rest in peace and she continue to smile down on her family. Take comfort in warm memories and knowing she is now in great hands with no harm around her.

This can’t be true. We are still expecting a knock on the door and you will be standing there will your beautiful smile.
We will miss everything about you. The dinners we cooked together (we still have your spaghetti pan, but you will have to come get it yourself if you want it back), the long conversations, your endless questions, the stories about your Mom and family when you were you growing up.

At a time like this there are no words to explain the loss of a love one taking so early in life. For the Lord knows HIS reason why and HE will see you through, just as HE as done before. Just know that GOD is GOD all by himself. Elena is in the care of her Heavenly Father and HE knows what best. I really didn't know elena that will you have lived next to my parents for about eleven years. When mom first told me that she was missing i had hoped for her safe return. But then when i heard the news that they found her it absolutely broke my heart. I am very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Carrie,Randy,Keith,Tito,Bethany and Christopher, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. You all have been like my own kids growing up along with Corey. I am going to miss my baby Elena so much. Her life, I am sure, touched many others that we are not aware of. She was very precious and we will see her again. I remember Elena when you moved in across from us when you first came to Presque Isle. Most precious little angel then and still is. Very beautiful girl with a smile that lit up a room when she walked in. Her memory will live on as she has touched so many lives in her short time with us. She was like another daughter to us. One of my fondest memories are when we all use to get together and my grandfather and grandmothers house in Queens for the weekend. And we were all in the back bedroom jumping on the bed. Me and all my cousins were so happy that we had permission to jump on the bed.
