Arthur's Obituary

Arthur Washington, Sr., age 83, departed this life on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank. He was a native and resident of Gretna, LA. Arthur was a retired employee of La. Dept of Transportation and Development. Loving father of Arthur Washington, Jr., Don Edmond (Joyce) Washington I, Brenetta W. Meads, and the late Rodney G. Washington I. Son of the late Henderson and Augustine Washington. Brother of Herbert (Yvonne) Washington, Leonard Washington, Alcenia Robinson, Idella Washington, Marquerite (Earl) Avery, Marcelle (Burnie) Moss, Diane (Larry) Turk, and the late Alvin Washington and Ethel Mae Simmons; also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Jerry Kaywood, III, officiating

Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
