Roger, so sorry to hear about your dad. I remember him from years ago when he worked with City of Seneca. I will have your family in my prayers. Your dad worked with Larry Brooks(Larry passed a year ago the 3/16) and I think they are now remembering old times. Sorry for your loss!

TOWNVILLE - John David Kendrick, Jr, 72 of Townville, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born March 21, 1940 in Oconee, he was the son of the late John David Kendrick, Sr. and the late Alice Duke Kendrick. He was a retired lineman with Seneca Light and Water and member of Oakdale Baptist Church. David was the husband of Betty Jean Osborne Kendrick for 52 years; father to Roger Dale Kendrick and his wife, Krystl of Townville; grandfather to Jakob Duke Kendrick and Blake Dawson Kendrick and brother to Roy Kendrick of Westminster and Mary Ann Jennings of Seneca.A graveside service will be held at 3pm Friday at Oakdale Baptist Church Cemetery with Revs. David Blizzard and Larry Stancil officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakdale Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 127, Townville, SC 29689 or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
