Deb was my neighbor, who would do anything for you. We loved having her and Ben over for many laughs, smoked food and evening fires. She was alot of fun and will be sadly missed.

Single Memorial Tree

Deb and I became friends via online live pearl parties with our friend Amy. Deb loved the dark green pearls especially twin greens. Deb and I often conspired in chats to help each other get the colors we wanted, hers always dark green and mine black. She was such a kind woman and I loved to help her when I could. I will also miss her random chats popping up saying, "noone is seeing my comments please tell them I want in on those green pearls". She will be missed by our entire group and...

Deborah's Obituary

DEBORAH ANN (KOLAR) PONS, 61 of West Newton, passed away at 3 PM Tuesday, September 23, 2025 in UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. Debrorah was born December 5, 1963, a daughter of the late Joseph and Daryl (Troup) Kolar, who passed away in 2003 and 2011 respectively. She married Dennis J. Pons on June 24, 2003 and he survives her.

 

Deborah was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She graduated from Southmoreland High School, Class of 1981 and received a business degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. Deborah was employed as a dental assistant for many years and was a member, along with her husband, of the First Church of God in West Newton. She enjoyed pearls, antiques, baking, gardening, arts and crafts, and knitting. 

 

Deborah will be sadly missed by her loving family; her husband of 22 years, Dennis J. Pons; her four sons, Jason Stamm (Dena), Jeremiah Stamm, Jacob Stamm, and Zachary Pons; her three grandchildren, Grace Stamm, Joseph Stamm, and Luca DiVirgilio; her sister, Karen Hauser; several nieces and nephews; and her loyal dog, Ben. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Kolar (2021); and her previous husband, Donald Stamm Jr. (2012).

 

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE(www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 5-8 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel followed by a funeral service at 8 PM Friday with Pastor Beth Dunlap officiating. Private burial will be in West Newton Cemetery. Love Lasts Forever!
