I pray that god gives you all strength and comfort in these trying times. Its never easy to see a loved one part from us, especially of a wonderful woman of her caliber! Tia....Im so sad that your not here! With us....Im soooo gonna miss my/ your oatmeal cookies at Christmas. I have so many good memories of that little house on story. Growing up as a teen in high school. With all my cousins close...uncle Jr and Aunt Frances across the street, Uncle Jerry's and Aunt Carmen's place was the cool hang out place.....Im gonna miss your quick Witt and your dry sense of humor. My deepest condolences to the family Maria I loved you so very much. Had the upmost respect and admiration for you such a beautiful lady inside and out thank you for being the best grandma to both my kids.. Maria Del Carmen's Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Del Carmen Montano, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to all whose lives she's touched. She left our family here on earth to join our heavenly family on March 6, 2020.

She is proceeded in death by her father Jose Limones Sr., mother Maria Alvarez, sister, Guadalupe Limones, brothers, Big Joe Limones, Ambrocio Limones, and Max Limones, husband, Jerry Montano Sr. and grandson Alex Rodriguez.

She was the beloved mother to Bessie, Jerry Jr., Paul and Phil. Proud grandmother to Vince, Nicole, Raymond, (Marleny), Nicolas, Marisol, Thalia, Brandi, Abraham, Eve and Dominic. Dedicated great grandmother to Issac, Isaiah, Daisha and Johannes.

She is survived by her last surviving sister, Beatrice Espino, and last surviving brother, Joe Limones, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Maria was a strong, loving, caring women who spoke to everyone, she worked hard all her life and did everything she could to see her children succeed in life. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan, she loved playing Rummy, Casino trips, sewing, baking, cooking, camping, family events and celebrations, aiding in the raising of  our families future generations. Her collections included elephants, dolls, coins, knick knacks, movies. She was devoted to her family. She was loved by all and was never fake a day in her life. She either liked you or she didn’t, a no nonsense type woman. Her qualities that drew people to her, were her loyalty, honesty, humor, quick wit, heart, caring, and optimistic outlook on life.

We will be having her viewing on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 2-6 at Habing Funeral home at 129 Fourth ST, Gilroy, CA followed by her Celebration of Life.
