Michael R. Calendo

Just seeing all the great things people have to say about Mr. Calendo speaks to his character. My dog, Dominic, could spot him a mile away on our walks knowing that he was about to get a treat or two or three!! He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by many.

We live just down the street from Mike. He always seemed to be lending a helpful hand to one of the Rosedale neighbors. In fact, Mike often came down the block and used his snow blower to clear our walkway, his unlit cigar visible under the blanket of snow that covered him. He was friendly, hardworking, and caring; Mike will be truly missed! We extend our thoughts and prayers to his family.

Mr. Calendo - what a righteous man! Reading these messages of sympathy is so heart-warming - hearing how he touched so many lives in so many meaningful ways! Mr. and Mrs. Calendo left a legacy. I am blessed for having the friendship of the Calendo family in my life. Wishing you all the strength to continue to celebrate his life!

We have been fortunate to have lived next door to Mike and then across the street from him for the last 14 years. From day one he was the best neighbor anyone could ask for. The neighborhood won't be the same without you.

So sorry to hear of Mike passing. He was our regular customer at Jewel. You couldn't miss Mike at the store with his cigar in his mouth and Italian Bread and Pasta in his shopping cart. I will miss seeing him come in my line and hear him say " hi Part timer how you doing " RIP Mike . you will be missed. God bless your Family

A man like this lives on in the memory of the family he guided, the friends he made, and the community he served because of his commitment and love for each. I will remember you Mr. Calendo.
