My deepest sympathy and prayers to Sig's family on their loss. I was honor to know Sig from her bring her granddaughter to religion the same time I brought my son (Brother Andre') Kelly Frederick. We would talk while they were in class. It was a honor to know her and visit with her.

Sigs family it has been a pleasure having your mom back in this area to rekindle some of our old memories from the past. Sigs mom and dad lives next door to us growing up and we were always around when the family would come to visit Maw maw and pawpaw so as a kid I remember Sig Beth and Lillie and Mr. Andrew and all of his and Mrs. Lite's kids. Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Friday, November 14, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Sigrid Bienvenu Taraldsen, 90, who passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Camelot of Broussard.The family requesting that visiting hours be observed from 4 pm - 9 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 11 am until 2:45 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge.Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Mass.Mrs. Taraldsen was a veteran of World War II, honorably serving her country in the United States Navy Waves. She was a member of the American Legion Post 289 and the Ladies Auxiliary in Parks, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks, A.A.R.P. of St. Martin Parish, N.A.R.F.E. in New Iberia, and served as a Pink Lady of St. Martin Hospital (formerly Gary Memorial Hospital) in Breaux Bridge.She is survived by her son, John O. Taraldsen, Jr. of North Carolina; two daughters, Mary T. Peebles of Edinburg, VA, and, Mimi T. Brousseau of St. Martinville; three grandchildren, Tripp Taraldsen of North Carolina, and Amanda and Lynn Brousseau, of St. Martinville; her sister, Elizabeth LeBlanc of Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her husband, John O. Taraldsen, Sr.; her son, Timothy M. Taraldsen; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Brousseau; her parents J. Andre and Bibiane Cormier Bienvenu; her brother, J. Andrew Bienvenu, Jr.; and a sister, Lilly B.
