Michael Jay Wilber Sr.

Michael Jay Wilber, Sr. Potterville Michael Jay Wilber, Sr., 63, went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2010 surrounded by his family. Mike was born December 18, 1946 in Owosso, MI to Frank and May (Van Aken) Wilber. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, a former member of the Dewitt Moose Lodge and was previously employed by W.R. Grace and Wohlert Corporation. Mike was an avid Santa and baseball card collector and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was a husband, father, grandfather, Papa, friend, and neighbor who was always known to say, "If you need anything, just give me a call." He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Helen; his children, Tammy (Gary) Robert, Barbra (Calvin) Funsch, Michael Wilber, II, Amy Jo (Timothy) Bates, Candy Stallcup, Charles (Heather) Wilber and Daryan Wilber; his grandchildren, Kyle, Ashlee, Bryan, Frank, Andrew, Michael III, Trenton, Sedric, Emmalee, Ariel, Nicholas, Melony, Nathaniel, and Charles, Jr. He also leaves behind his siblings, Clark (Grace) Ketchum, Dorthea (Leo) Peasley, Wayne (Paula) Wilber, Ramona (Tony) Hart, Norma Hyatt, Wanda (Gordon) Merrell; many nieces & nephews; and life long friend, Charles Lumbert. Visitation will be at Pray Funeral Home on Monday, November 22, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 12:00 noon followed by military graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Lansing, MI with Pastor Richard Moe of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating.
