Katherine Herbstreith Obituary

Katherine Rose Herbstreith Battle Creek Katherine Rose Herbstreith, 74, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, November 8, 2010 at her home. She was born January 13, 1936 in Dayton, TN the daughter of Carl and Marie (White) Brady. She married Harry Herbstreith on December 24, 1953 in Rossville, GA. Katherine's whole life was her family, they knew her as "Nan". She loved her country music, tending to her flower gardens, working in her woods, the outdoors, and her cats, but most of all she loved to walk. She was well known for her southern cooking. She loved children and was an avid fan of Peyton Manning. She is survived by her husband; children, Christina (Robert) Worgess, Deborah Herbstreith, and Dwight Herbstreith; stepson, Terry Herbstreith; sister, Helen Louise (the late Bobby) Fleming; grandsons, Jason (Rebecca) Haineault, Matthew (Stephanie) Haineault, Travis Worgess, and Stephen Herbstreith; granddaughter, Jessica Worgess; adopted mom, Margarette Pegues; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Timothy Scott Herbstreith. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Burial will be at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Emmett Township, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Athens Animal Clinic and the Ronald McDonald's House.
