Marcus David "Marc" Wetzel

Marcus "Marc" David Wetzel Marcus "Marc" David Wetzel, age 54, died Saturday November 20, 2010 at his home. Marc was born November 21, 1955 in Battle Creek, to Harold and Colleen (McQuern) Wetzel and was a lifelong resident. Marc was a 1974 graduate of Springfield High School and received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Western Michigan University in 1980. Marc had been employed by the Kellogg Company. Marc was an active volunteer at Burnham Brook and the Red Cross, he received the Volunteer of the Year award in 1999 from Burnham Brook. Marc enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, boating and hunting. He is survived by his wife Candace Louise (Simmons) Wetzel, a daughter, Casandra Louise Wetzel, sons: Paul Marcus David (Keely) Wetzel and Christopher Paige Wetzel all of Battle Creek, granddaughters, Adrianna Paige Wetzel and Ryann Jean Wetzel, father, Harold Wetzel Jr. of Battle Creek, maternal grandmother, Edith McQuern of Battle Creek, sisters: Kathryn (Ronald) Scherer and Deborah (Mike) Zidarevich, a brother; Timothy (Sue) Wetzel all of Battle Creek. Marc was preceded in death by his mother Colleen Wetzel. The family will receive friends at 12 noon Wednesday at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd.
