Anna Swank Obituary

Anna L. (Pierce) Swank Bellevue Anna L. (Pierce) Swank, age 87 of Bellevue, passed away Friday, September 24, 2010. Anna was born on December 1, 1922 in Bellevue, Michigan to Elston and Jessie (Morris) Pierce. She graduated from Bellevue High School. Anna married Lindall Ray Swank on March 22, 1947. Anna is survived by two sons, Wendall Swank of Yucca Valley, CA and Jerry Blake of Vicksburg, MI; three daughters, Janet Outman of Bellevue, MI, Sheryl Robertson of Lincoln Park, MI and Sandra Kay Swank of Newcumberland, WV; two sisters, Ardell Torres of Pennfield and Letha Clift of Bellevue, MI, sixteen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by her husband on December 28, 2006; one son Robert in 1952; her parents; four brothers, Leonard Pierce, Rodney Pierce, Elston Jr. Pierce, Richard Pierce; and one sister, Eltha Pierce. Anna loved traveling, mushrooming, feeding the birds, going fishing, especially for smelt and watching deer. She also liked gardening, embroidering and Elvis Presley. Visitation Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Spencer Family Funeral Home in Athens. Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Funeral Home with Pastor David Mackaluso officiating. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek.
