Barbara Watson Obituary

Barbara Jo "Barbie" Watson" Union City Barbara Jo "Barbie" Watson, 45, of Union City, passed away November 9, 2010, at home surrounded by her family. She was a beautiful person inside and out who loved her life and all of the people in it. Barbie was truly an amazing daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend. She was born August 22, 1965 in Coldwater to John and Linda (Robinson) Brubaker and later married Ronnie Watson on September 27, 1986 in Battle Creek. Barbie enjoyed living in the Union City area all of her life. She was naturally giving and had many close friends. She loved her various critters and enjoyed flowers and landscaping. She was a hairdresser, receptionist at Weight Watchers and a sales person at JCPenney but above all a dedicated wife and mother. Barbie was a beautiful, eye-catching and fashionable woman who always seemed to be the life of the party. In fact, she loved any excuse to bring people together. She planned many family reunions, volleyball cook-outs, cookie parties and always had the best party favors in town. She is survived by her husband, Ron; daughter, Jacee (Brandon) Beck; son, Jory Watson; daughter, Jamison Watson; parents, John and Linda Brubaker; sisters, Robin (Randy) Jones, Debbie (Gene) Morisset, JoLynn Brubaker; brother, Johnny (Amy) Brubaker; brother-in-law, Curt (Sheryl) Watson; sisters-in-law, Lisa (Tim) Dey, Nicki (Ed) Phelps, Pam (Dan) Rathbun; mother-in-law, Carol Watson; stepmother-in-law, Fran Stringer; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to invite you to celebrate her life with them on Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Monday, November 15, 2010 from 10:00 - 12:00 noon at the Putnam Funeral Home in Union City. A memorial service will be Monday at 12:00 noon at the Putnam Funeral Home in Union City with Associate Pastor Bill Hochstetler of The Worldwide Church of God. Barbie was the "life of the party" and we enjoyed her so much when she came to our Weight Watchers At-Work group at Battle Creek Health System. Her fashion sense always amazed us. We always looked forward to seeing what color Barbie was wearing - right down to her matching fingernail polish, shoes & purse! We will truely miss her but now she is gracing heaven with her beauty & smile! We love you Barbie and will never forget you!!!

Barbi was an angel walking this earth, her beautiful spirit & energy could be felt by everyone she touched. She will be greatly missed, and may her family take comfort in her memory and compassion she had for them. What a wonderful example she set as a mother, sister & friend. Thank you for being a part of my life Barbi!
