Charles Thorp Obituary

Charles Thorp Kalamo Twp. Charles Robert Thorp, 70, of Kalamo Twp., passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at his home. Mr. Thorp was an Iron Worker for over 30 years with Iron Workers Local 340. He retired in 1991. When he was younger he loved to fish and hunt. Later in life he enjoyed playing cards and dominos. He married the former Geneva Crandell in May 1959. She preceded him on October 30, 2002. He is survived by his daughters, Vicki (Ken) Sells and Dawn Thorp both of Battle Creek and his sons, Tom and Tim Thorp of Indianapolis and Cliff Thorp of Battle Creek. He also leaves 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and his sisters, Judy Curtis and Joann Shook. He was preceded by his sister, Linda Burnau and brother, Bill Sells. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Royal Funeral Home.

I was so sorry to read of Chucks passing. I have know Chuck since junior high. He was also a good friend of my late husband Gene Case. He will be greatly missed. May God be with you all.
