Dora Morales Obituary

Dora G. Morales Battle Creek Dora G. Morales, 76, of Battle Creek passed away Monday November 8, 2010 at her home. She was born on October 1, 1934 in Springfield, MI to Joseph and Maria (DeLorenzo) Tonelli. Dora graduated from St. Philip Catholic High School in 1953. She married Frank Morales on August 1, 1953 in Battle Creek. Dora was employed by the Battle Creek Police Dept. for 21 years as a records clerk until she retired in 2001. She then worked as one of the secretaries at St. Jerome Catholic Church. Dora is survived by her husband, Frank Morales; her children, Ben (Jeanne) Morales, of East Leroy, Frank (Jennifer) Morales, Jr. of Climax, Trish (Mark Kivin) Morales, of Dowling, Mary (Bill) Poillion, of Houston, TX, Anna (Roger) Antes, Ted (Mary Anne) Morales, Lydia Ivany, Angela (Darrell) Belson, Diana Morales, and Joan (Dayton) Smith, all of Battle Creek; 32 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Matthew M. Morales in 2005, a brother, Rudy Tonelli, sisters, Lydia Metty, Ida Marietti, and Ann Ret. Dora was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. She was a Master Gardener and enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, trips to the casino, and spending time with her family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home where a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday November 11, 2010 at St. Jerome Catholic Church with The Reverend Mathew Manalel officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Matt Morales Memorial Fund c/o Bill Poillion.
